The pre-school room provides early education for up to 24 children aged 3-5 years old.
As a nursery in partnership with Renfrewshire Council you may apply for funding when your child is three and, if successful, the grant received by the nursery will be deducted from your monthly fee.
The pre-school room has the benefit of assistance from a qualified teacher and 3 qualified nursery practitioners. Staff plan many stimulating and fun activities on a daily basis using Curriculum for Excellence and Assessment is for Learning for guidance to ensure the children receive appropriate provision across all areas of the curriculum.
In this room we are teaching good social skills including co-operating with others as well as encouraging independence.
The children also enjoy using the computers to play lots of games about numbers, counting, shape and patterns.
The staff to child ratio is 1:8
The children have access to the outdoor area where a range of planned activities are available to them on a daily basis. This includes an area which is used to teach the children about caring for their environment, planting and minibeasts, among other things. There is also seated areas for smaller group activities and opportunities for the children to develop their physical skills.
We are also situated within a very safe walking distance of the local park which is used often for nature walks and picnics.
